Location: Niyyah uses your location solely to calculate accurate prayer times for your area. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Screen Time / App Blocking: Niyyah uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls framework) to block apps during prayer times. Apple's privacy-preserving design means we never see which specific apps you select to block - this information is encrypted and managed by iOS.
Notifications: If you enable notifications, they are scheduled locally on your device. We do not use push notification services that would require server communication.

This data is not synced to any cloud service. If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed.
If you use the Niyyah AI chat feature (premium), your messages are processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. Messages are:
We do not store your chat history on our servers. Conversations are retained locally on your device for 24 hours, then automatically deleted.
Niyyah Premium subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple handles all billing and may share anonymized subscription status with us.
